Short Bio:
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vildan Enisoğlu Atalay received her B.Sc. in Chemistry Teaching (2001), M.Sc. in Physical Chemistry (2003), and Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry (2010) from Marmara University. She then pursued her postdoctoral research in Computational Organic Chemistry at Istanbul Technical University’s Informatics Institute. In 2012, she was appointed as an Assistant Professor at Üsküdar University and promoted to Associate Professor in 2021. Her academic career focuses on bioinformatics, computational drug design, antioxidant molecules, and the development of novel therapeutic candidates for neurodegenerative diseases. She has served as principal investigator or researcher in numerous TÜBİTAK- and university-supported projects, published extensively in national and international journals, and presented at many scientific conferences. She has also supervised a large number of master’s and doctoral theses, contributing to the training of the next generation of researchers. Currently she serves as a faculty member at the Department of Computational Science and Engineering at Istanbul Technical University's Informatics Institute. Her research offers an interdisciplinary perspective by integrating molecular modeling, drug discovery, and bioinformatics.
